This is what you end up with when you drive a router bit into a hold-down screw. It made a LOT of noise! But the router didn't lose steps or nuffin! The screw was disintergrated. It was lucky that where the screw was, the router was just ramping into the start of a cut, so was moving slowly... or else this would probably just be a stump... and the missing bit would have gone off somewhere in my workshop at highspeed!
