Trip to the UK 2017 - Hanging out in London and Madrid

The street that Josh and Molly live on has houses on it that are 3 or 4 stories high, and some with basements. This house is the only one that stands alone, possibly at one point it had a church attached.

I found myself taking snaps of things as I went past on the 243 bus into Holborn and out again, which was a bit of regular do over the month I was there.  Here's a couple of those:

The rest are from Madrid....
We saw a truck with Molly's name on it....so....

funnily enough, this was while we were on our way to drop off her illustrations at a design shop called 'dodesign' that had teed up with Molly to have an exhibition of her work, opening the same night as Josh's book launch. Couple of pics of that below.

The exhibition sold well...so she's well chuffed, as am I. :-)

...and of course, we went to see the Sorrolla house and all his wonderful paintings..

...and sat in lots of cafe's, chatting and drawing..

Some of the following pics are nice and clear, others have a sort of smudge in the middle...
All the pics before I met the dog are the clear ones, but when I met the dog he came right up to me and touched the lens with his nose. I hadn't realised that he'd left some snot on it.... :(

I had developed a chest infection on the first night here. Every time I coughed, I pulled the broken collar bone apart again! I spent the second of our four days there in bed, and the third and fourth were a limp about. You'll notice in some of the pics Molly or Josh were carrying two bags...one was mine. They took very good care of me...bless :-)

Trip to the UK 2017 - Woman's March

I just got back from a month long trip to the UK, ostensibly to be there for Josh's book launch (more of which later).  It was a wonderful trip, despite my having a broken collar bone and rib, and a head injury, which happened because I was being stupid and trying to get airborne off a bump at the bottom of a steep hill. (I know about the helmet thing...! That was a hard lesson learned!)

I made the 24hr flight with some difficulty, although the Singapore Air staff were really helpful and accommodating of the fact that I needed some help here and there....

I got to London. Day 1, I wanted to go and get out some money, which meant finding a branch of Royal Bank of Scotland for me, since I don't have a card for them anymore. Off we went to town, and whilst there, we went to the Portrait Gallery....of course!

Day 2 we all felt that we should go on the Womans March...and that ended up being quite a long walk all up, by the time we'd walked to meet up with Josh and Molly's friends in various places...and walked to the start place, before parading around various landmarks..most notably Trafalgar Square, but notwithstanding the American Embassy.  It was a great day though, I met a load of lovely people, and was proud to have been able to march against the orange haired gentleman. Here's some pics from that day:
