Bookshop muff fluff up!

We all went to a show that was put on by the year 12 Kimberley College in town. It was the last show that Mr HG did...and it was really really good. Politically savvy and very innovative.  The kids were all amazing.

On the way to it, we had time to kill and we came across a bookshop called 'Folio Books' on Edward St. It is beautifully and comprehensively stocked and we all descended on it like ants to honey spilt on the pantry shelf!

But we soon realised that all the lovely books were twice the price of their Amazon counterparts, which means that even allowing for freight, buying from the shop was not a sensible decision.  That's a great shame I think. So we bought a book each, and Michael (Matilda and Phoebe's friend from school who was with us) bought himself two. It's a different kind of feeling when you splat money on books I think.  It feels like you made an investment, and therefore it's OK. :-)

But, the real reason that I mention this at all is so that I can set a background for the photo below....which I thought was a hilarious juxtaposition (as they say in galleries).  Hint, if Mum were alive, Dad would have to explain it to her... very awkwardly.
