Tonight we went to see Matilda play the third King in the school nativity play. She complained that she was having pre-performance nerves this morning, and wanted to throw a sicky. We managed to talk her out of it, and she went in OK. Tonight it all went off well, but when she came off stage, the first thing she said was that she'd made a mess of it! Bless. Its all relative eh? She was quite upset about it for a good.... well at least 30 seconds! Back in the UK, Josh had an audition yesterday at Essex University to do Drama. He too complained that he'd not given it his best. We'll see. He's got a bad cold today, and is feeling less than gorgeous... at least I know what that feels like! He's now talking about coming out in Feb next year, but is thinking of going to NZ before coming to OZ.
Here's Matilda in action... she did all her own stunts!
lets play 'spot Matilda' ... she's peeping out... probably wishing I wasn't there!
What about here... can you spot her?
And there was a bit of a fair too... Can you spot them here? Ha ha. Wish I could take a picture! Not like that one that you did of us on the roundabout Dad eh? (Praps you could mail that, and I'll put it on here)
OK..done that Dad, wot next?
Phoebe makes friends really easily...
...and tends to wimp out. Matilda always looks after her tho...
Queueing for the bumpy slide...
Playing tag on the way home...
The event went on to have a singing competition and then carols for a good singalong. We didn't stay for that cos the kids were fading but I've promised that they can do that too next year. Finally we watched the fireworks from the top of Daile's car at home in pyjamas. Still waiting for sleep to come now.
Bless.
